What a sad day.
So I came home from my second trip this month. I've been away from home and my computer for 3 weeks in June. I was so excited about visiting Roni's site, the boards and others blogs. Sadly, I found out it's all been lost. I ended up gaining almost 5 pounds in June due to traveling so I was extra excited to get back to my online community to get encouragement, ideas and support to get back on program. Well, instead of finding what I needed, I find myself recreating my community. Hopefully it won't take long and we'll all be back together again!!

I'm back
Italy was wonderful! We had an amazing time, saw lots of sites, walked around the cities, took lots of pictures and ate great food. Honestly, I didn’t even think about points. We walked EVERYWHERE and I could tell my clothes were fitting better due to all the walking… so I backed off the points and enjoyed the pasta, bread and gelato! It was great. Now I’m back in the US and will start pointing again. I’m going to the grocery store later today, so the points will begin tomorrow- since we have no WW friendly food in the house right now!
I did weigh in this morning and I lost a tenth of a pound while I was gone. I really thought I would have gained at least 4-5 pounds, but I didn’t! I’m at 145.4 now. Still more than I would like to be after almost 2 months of WW, but it’s still lower than my starting point!

One More Day
We leave for Italy tomorrow night! I’m all packed and I think I’m ready to go. I haven’t finished everything at work, but I still have tomorrow. It’s very hard to be away from work for 2 weeks!
Today I didn’t do great with my points, but I wasn’t too bad either…

Have any of you heard of only 8 Frozen Yogurt?
If my calculations are right, one serving (1/2 cup) is 1 point, 2 servings (1 cup) is still just 1 point, 3 servings (1 1/3 cups) is just 2 points and 4 servings (2 cups) is just 3 points. That’s a whole lotta “ice cream” or frozen yogurt for 3 points! The only down side, that I have found, is that there is 0 fiber. But, there are other things I eat without fiber.
I tried the white chocolate tonight. It wasn’t great, but was only 1 point of “not great!” It tasted more like vanilla- and I’m not a vanilla fan. I have a meeting in that same shopping center tomorrow, so I’ll go back and try the chocolate.

boooooo
Today was my weigh in day. I gained 1.1 pounds. How? I went back over my menus and yes, there were days where I went over my points, but I dind’t use all my flex points and didn’t count any of my activity points. And I exercised every day. This is so frustrating. I’ve been loosing for 5 weeks and this week I do the exact same thing and gain. I was so frustrated that after my lunch, I just continued to eat. Dinner was sensible, but this afternoon wasn’t. 30 points today alone. I’ve used 10 of my flex points already in one day. I was hoping I would loose more than just 8 pounds before our Italy trip. I don’t want to worry about “points” while I’m in Italy, but i don’t want to gain a ton either. This could be a once in a lifetime trip for me and I don’t want to miss out of the experience by not eating the great food. AHHH. I’m frustrated.

25 points again. That seems to be my magic number this weekend! I think I may have used 25 activity points yesterday too! We went to a state park to hike, climb rocks and look at falls. Then we went to some caverns. We probably walked/ hiked at least 4miles- if not more. Then when we got home I ran approximately 2 miles. I will clock it today in my car to see how far it really was. It took me right at 20 minutes and I’ve been keeping a pretty steady 10 minute mile this week.
I feel very bloated this weekend. I’m not sure why. I’ve looked back over my menus to see if anything sticks out and I can’t really find anything. Maybe it’s too many vegetables- asparagus, broccoli and cauliflower. I’ll cut back and see if that helps. I also went back over the past 7 days to see how many pionts total I’ve used. I’ve used 20 points 6 days and 18 points one day. I’ve also used 25.5 of my flex points. I don’t count my activity points, so I guess I’ve done alright staying on track. I just feel like I’ve been horrible all week. Maybe it’s the stress of getting things ready at work so I can be away for the next 2 weeks. I’m also stressed about what I’ll eat while in Italy. ALL my meals for the next 2 weeks (beginning Friday June 1) will be eaten out. I’m hoping there are lots of fruit stands in Italy where I can at least grab something healthy for a snack! If I have room in my suitcase I’m also going to pack some snacks to take that aren’t fatty and gross. Gotta work now. Later.

I didn't cave all the way!
Went to church early this morning to do some work. Today was the day the new 6th graders moved up to the youth group. I went by Krispy Kreme to buy breakfast for the group since they were moving up. What a horrible temptation! I wanted a creme filled donught SOOOOO BAAAAAD!!! Those are my favorites at KK. Guess what? I DIDN’T EAT ONE!! I survived the temptation… but I did cave and eat a piece of cake at lunch, when I knew I shouldn’t.
This afternoon I volunteered to help pack up a warehouse full of supplies for disaster relief. When there is a disaster, fire, tornado, hurricane, flood, etc. the United Methodist Church is always one of the first organizations to respond. The warehouse where we keep all our supplies told us we had to be out of the warehouse in a week. We’ve been scrounging to find volunteers to pack up the warehouse to move all the supplies to a new location. So, I spent over 2 hours loading up 5 gallon plastic buckets and other supplies onto a semi. That was my workout today! Then my hubby, son, dog and I played tag in the front yard for about 20 minutes with glow lights on our fingers! It was a fun end to a great weekend.

YEA!! :)
Last night I went to Victoria’s Secret because a bra I bought about 3 weeks ago is too big now! I’m lucky I still had the tags on it. I went from a 34DD to a 34D! Down a cup size. I also weighed this morning, even though it’s not my WI day…. I weighed 143.3! That’s the lowest I’ve weighed in at least 4 years! Only 8 more pounds til goal!
I also ran again this morning. I think it was about 1.5 miles- It took 15 minutes. I’m a happy girl today!

I always start with my post and try to come up with a title after my post is through. I try to be creative, but usually I’m not. Why do I think so much about the title?? weird.
I read Roni’s post on Fiber One Bars at work today and couldn’t stop laughing! I love eating these bars! I usually eat one for breakfast or one for a snack. I have had some tummy trouble and gassiness, but not as bad as some people have had. The replies were cracking me up!

finally
I got out to run this morning after the prayer breakfast. Instead of going around the neighborhood, I went to a local park. I have no idea how far I ran though. I can’t drive my car around the park to clock it!! I’m guessing one big lap is about mile- since it took 10 minutes to do one lap. I did 2 laps and it took exactly 20 minutes. So, I’ll count it as 2 miles. I did take a break and walk for about 30 seconds. Just to let my ankle rest a second!

At least I did go to Curves this morning and completed 2 rotations on the machines and did my stretching. That’s the redeeming part of the day! I also weighed in today- 146 pounds even. I’ve lost 7 pounds since April 24. I’m excited. I’ve even caught my husband “pointing” and asking me to buy his favorites in “light”, “reduced fat” or “lean.” I think my WW habits may be catching on in this house!!

Thank you SOOOOO much for the cola chocolate cupcake recipe. WOW! They are delish! I didn’t have the vitamix chocolate cake mix, so I used pillsbury. That was 3 points a cupcake- but so worth it! My hubby likes them too!
I think I’ll order the vitamix so I can loose the additional point but keep the great flavor!

yummy!
I made potato soup today from a recipe off of Dotti’s Weight Loss Zone. It was actually really good! I added the recipe to the “recipes” page of my blog. Finally, a low point recipe that doesn’t taste like poo. I tried several of the low point brownie/ fudge/ chocolate recipes that have blended up black beans and I hate them all. I’m still searching for a low point chocolate fix!!

cupcakes
I love cupcakes! I especially love chocolate cupcakes with white icing. I think those have about 6-7 points EACH! Well, I caved today and ate 2. Not just one, but 2. AND THEY WERE SOO GOOD! You’d think I’d feel guilty, but I don’t. I ate them, enjoyed them and will keep “pointing” today. I won’t let this bother me and quit. I’ll just continue with my next meal or snack and get back on the wagon!
I’m trying to figure out why I ate 2 and didn’t just stop at 1… maybe stress? There’s a lot going on now in my life. It’s all great things, but still a lot. My hubby and I leave for Italy in 3 weeks. We’ll be gone for 2 weeks, so I have to get everything ready at work for those 2 weeks I’m out. I also am trying to sell my house- another stresser. I also still have a lot of buying to do for the trip. Hopefully everything will work out, will be completed and I won’t freak out too bad!

Not a good day! Haha! I couldn’t say no to cupcakes, so I just ate them (2 of them, not just one!). Now it’s time to push forward and get back on track! Maybe it won’t affect my “weigh in” on Monday too much!

eating out isn't easy
I’m guessing on almost everything I’ve eaten today! I had lunch with the group of friends and got a turkey wrap. Dinner was a mother’s day banquet at church that was catered.
Breakfast-0 points
Fiber One-0
drained 1% milk-0
Lunch-7 points
sun dried tomato tortilla wrap-3
turkey-2

Dinner- 11 points

20 points total. But I guessed. I really don’t know what the slaw would be worth- It had a vinegary type dressing that I’m sure had some mayo mixed in somewhere. The chicken was wrapped in fillo dough? or something like that. So, I added 2 extra points to the chicken because of the papery crusty stuff. I passed up on the chocolate fountain! It looked so good, but I passed on it. It helped that the fountain was across the room. If the dessert had been served to me it would have been so tempting!
